Brunware is a software company based in Michigan. We build tools for people who care about where their data goes — and more importantly, where it doesn't.
We think the software industry has a privacy problem. Every app wants your data, your account, your subscription. We'd rather just make something useful and leave you alone.

How we think about privacy
Your files stay on your Mac. We can't read them. Even if we wanted to. No telemetry. No analytics. No trackers. We don't want to know what you do.
No subscriptions. Pay once, own it. No bait-and-switch when we need to hit a number. Native macOS, built with Swift — no Electron, no web wrappers. It feels right because it is right.

A note from the founder
I started Brunware because I got tired of apps that ask for an account before they let me type a note. Your journal entries, your project ideas, your half-baked thoughts — those aren't ours. They shouldn't need to touch a server. They shouldn't need my permission to exist. They should be encrypted by default. So I built something that just works and gets out of the way.
